There are two main ways to play Klondike Solitaire. Each offers a slightly different experience:

Turn One (Draw 1)

How to Play Klondike Solitaire

The goal of Klondike Solitaire is to move all cards to the four foundation piles, grouped by suit and in ascending order from Ace to King.

Basic rules:

  • Cards in the tableau must be placed in descending order and alternate colours
  • Only Kings can be placed in empty tableau columns
  • Cards can be moved between tableau columns to reveal hidden cards
  • The top card of the stock pile can be played to the tableau or foundation
